Travel Guide: A Very Merry Las Vegas Holiday - 5 things to do in Las Vegas during Christmas 2015
As we all know, Las Vegas does things BIG, and that is no exception for this holiday season. Here at Winky Designs, we love the holidays and wanted to share with you a few of our favorite things to do this season!
1) Magical Forest at Opportunity Village
At the Opportunity Village, you'll be able to experience the holiday fun with the entire family! With over three million lights and decorated trees, it's definitely a festive place to be to get in the spirits of the season!
The Magical Forest also features a magical train ride, a slippery sled ride, a carousel and the picture-perfect moment to meet the big guy himself... Santa! Oh, and if that wasn't enough, did we mention that all proceeds from your visit will benefit children and adults in Southern Nevada with intellectual disabilities? Talk about getting all the feels, right?
Opportunity Village is open nightly from Nov 20-Jan 3
Sunday-Thursday from 5:30 - 9pm
Friday-Saturday from 5:30 - 10pm
2) Ice Rink at the Cosmopolitan Hotel http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/experience/icerink.aspx
Another big favorite of ours for this holiday season in Las Vegas! This Ice Rink features a 4200 square-foot rink, made out of real ice - fun for the whole family to enjoy!
It also features s'mores by the fire pits, and for our 21+ readers, the ice rink also provides warm cocktails! If you weren't already sold, the Cosmo Hotel also provides a light snow over the rink every 30 minutes! Snow in Las Vegas? How can you refuse!
The rink is open Nov 20-Jan 3
Monday-Friday 3pm - 12:00am
Saturday-Sunday 12pm - 12:00am
3) Our third featured holiday activity is the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens Holiday Display https://www.bellagio.com/attractions/botanical-garden.aspx
This amazing attraction features a 42-foot tall Christmas tree covered in thousands of lights and ornaments. Included is also two 12-foot tall animated snow globes, as well as a Mama polar bear and her cubs completely made out of white flowers! Come visit this attraction with your whole family for the perfect family photo!
The Botanical Garden is open for observation 24 hours a day from Dec 4 to Jan 3!
4) For our Shop-Till-You-Drop friends, visit the Fashion Show Mall on Las Vegas Blvd for the Adventure to Santa! http://www.thefashionshow.com/events/adventure-to-santa
As a family, you'll be able able to get all your shopping done, and experience the 15-minute search for Santa in the North Pole, while accompanied by Shrek and his Friends. It is the Ultimate Santa Claus experience, and you'll be sure to get snapped with Santa himself.
Adventure to Santa is open now until December 24.
5) Last but not least, Downtown Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Strip all feature well-known New Years' Eve Celebrations! These locations are the greatest way to bring in 2016! There are always events going on at the Container Park (check here for updates: http://downtowncontainerpark.com/events/month/) and the nightly Swarvoski Midnight celebration at Grand Bazaar Shops (http://grandbazaarshops.com/events/).
Make sure you pop by your closest Winky Designs store at the Downtown Container Park, or at Bally's Grand Bazaar Shops too! We're always happy to see your smiling faces!
